The development of Simonds Stadium includes new community facilities that expand the boundaries of sports stadia capability
SMC Strategies was engaged by the Geelong Football Club to achieve a $75 million State Government investment in the critical next stage of the Stadium’s development.
SMC worked closely with the GFC executive team and project manager to develop and implement community, stakeholder and government partnership plans that realised the required State Government investment.
SMC also originated a concept and partnered plan with Deakin University and the TAC to integrate a back to work, training and rehabilitation facility, the Sunrise Centre, in Stage 4 of the project. This was vital to project funding.
